With the Tour du Léman juniors - Trophée franco-suisse de cyclisme starting today and running until Sunday, the competitive commitments abroad of Giovani Giussanesi resume. The Brianza-based team will face this new international challenge with five athletes: Emanuele Parianotti, tenth at the Memorial Fallarini; Fabio Marcolli; Luca De Marcanti; Niccolò Muraro and Matteo Piva who, after standing out at Coppa Linari, Coppa Valle Grana, and Cirié/Pian della Mussa, will tackle the upcoming race days to complete his preparation ahead of the Giro della Lunigiana, where he will compete after being called up by the Lombardy Regional Committee.
The first of the three stages will be a time trial starting from Illarsaz and concluding after 12 kilometers in Aigle, not far from the International Cycling Union headquarters. On Saturday, the second stage will start from Jussy, in the Geneva canton, and after 87 kilometers will finish uphill in Essert-Romand, a French commune in Upper Savoy.
