Thirteen days after Elisa Longo Borghini's success at the Giro d'Italia Women, here comes the Tour de France Femmes. The third grand tour of the women's cycling calendar starts tomorrow from Brittany, offering a total of 1168 kilometers to be covered in nine stages.
The first stage, as the organizers point out, is "a hilly stage", full of ups and downs, which will challenge the athletes between Vannes and Plumelec. Along the 78 kilometers scheduled, however, only two categorized mountain passes are present: Côte de Botségalo, after 30 kilometers of racing, and Côte de Cadoudal, during the second passage through the finish line. The local circuit will be decisive: the two laps planned before the grand finale promise excitement for the public and selection in the group. As Tour de France Femmes director Marion Rousse emphasizes, victory will smile upon those who know how to attack at the right moment. Curiosity: in Plumelec, Eleonora Gasparrini (Grand Prix du Morbihan Femmes 2025) and Silvia Persico (Grand Prix du Morbihan Femmes 2024) have won.
