L'Under 23 statunitense Roman Van Uden (Land Rover-Orbea) ha vinto allo sprint la quarta tappa del Tour of the Gila, un bvreve criterium cittadino. Lance Armstrong si è misurato in volata ed ha colto l'undicesimo posto.
