The UCI publishes today the list of women's and men's professional road teams that have submitted the essential documents for registration for the 2027 season in accordance with articles 2.13.118-122, 2.15.069bis, 2.19.106-110 and 2.16.014bis of the UCI Regulations.

The teams are divided into four categories: UCI Women's WorldTeams, UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women's ProTeams and UCI ProTeams.

Candidate teams had until October 15, 2026 to submit their registration files. The UCI is currently evaluating the compliance of these applications with applicable regulatory requirements, in collaboration with the audit firm PwC. This evaluation examines several criteria, including ethical, financial and administrative ones.

For UCI Women's WorldTeams, UCI Women's ProTeams and UCI WorldTeams, the organizational criterion is also evaluated.

The applications for the 2027 season are as follows:
    14 women's teams applying for registration as UCI Women's WorldTeams
    18 men's teams applying for registration as UCI WorldTeams
    8 women's teams applying for registration as UCI Women's ProTeams
    14 men's teams applying for registration as UCI ProTeams.

Teams that did not send all essential documents by the October 15 deadline are included in the count above but not in the list below: for the WorldTour, Jayco AlUla and Picnic PostNL are currently missing while Visma Lease a Bike is registered without a sponsor but with the name of the management company. Among the ProTeams, predictably absent are Equipo Kern Pharma and Team Flanders Baloise (the latter has announced its closure, the Spanish team has not yet but unfortunately is very close to folding) but also TotalEnergies which in recent days seems to have found a sponsor and probably needs to finalize the documentation. As always, the current Solution Tech is registered without a sponsor, while the current Polti is registered partially, that is with the name of the management company first and with the sponsor VisitMalta as the second name.

However, these teams still have the opportunity to correct their situation before the end of the registration process, which would allow them to be registered for the 2027 season. In accordance with UCI Regulations and subject to other applicable provisions, riders from these teams may terminate their contracts early, but this right will expire if their team is subsequently registered.

The final list of teams registered for the 2027 season will be published by the UCI on December 8, 2026, at the end of the registration procedure.
