Italian riders made their mark at the traditional Keermiscross in Ardooie, Belgium, an event featured on the international UCI cyclocross calendar. In the Elite Women's race, dominated by Dutch world champion Lucinda Brand (Baloise Verzekeringen Het Poetsbureau Lions), Rebecca Gariboldi (De Ceuster Bouwkranen) delivered an impressive fifth-place finish, showcasing a high-level performance that saw her cross the line just 57 seconds behind the outstanding Dutch rider. Among the Elite men, Belgian Gerben Kuypers (Pauwels Sauzen Altez Industriebouw) claimed victory, edging out fellow countrymen Witse Meeussen and Michael Vanthourenhout to complete an all-Belgian podium. The best-performing Italian was Tommaso Cafueri, who delivered a solid performance and finished in 20th place.
