Marianne Vos never stops. And above all, she never stops winning! The outstanding Dutch cyclist has claimed her second world gravel championship title by winning in Nannup, Australia, crossing the finish line alone. Vos launched her decisive attack three kilometers from the finish, putting German rider Rosa Klöser, who was attacking alongside her, in difficulty: a violent acceleration that forced Klöser into a mistake, a crash taken too fast, and from that point on there were no more obstacles for Vos. Completing the podium was fellow Dutch rider Larissa Hartog, while Italian Erica Magnaldi finished in fifth place.
The race unfolded over a challenging 125.6-kilometer course through the hills surrounding Nannup, with 3,179 meters of elevation gain to overcome, much of it on gravel. Notable was a serious crash on a downhill section involving South African Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Dutch rider Geerike Schreurs.
