The novelty lies in the circuit numbers: seven laps instead of eight. The three characteristic passages are confirmed – San Pancrazio, Piccolo Stelvio and Caramamma – points that on certain occasions are capable of changing the pace and face of the race and offering ideal terrain for attacks and selection; on other occasions, maintaining a compact peloton until returning to Legnano for the final kilometers before the finish line. In total, there are 178.4 kilometers to cover.
For the 2026 edition, there will be 25 teams at the start: 16 WorldTour, 8 ProTeam and 1 Continental. A record figure for a UCI ProSeries 1.Pro event. Among the most anticipated riders in no particular order, Borgo, Lapeira (yesterday's winner of the Coppa Agostoni), Godon, Ganna, Isodore, Mads Pedersen, Aular, Barrenetxea, Strong, Donati, Matthews, Ballerini, Aranburu, Trentin and Dati.
50 YEARS OF BANCO BPM: A STORY THAT CONTINUES
A great race needs a great team off the road as well. And among its pillars is Banco BPM, main sponsor of the Coppa Bernocchi and U.S. Legnanese 1913, which this year celebrates the 50th Banco BPM Grand Prize. A bond born in 1976 and built over the years around shared values: passion for sport, attention to the territory and closeness to the community. Representing Banco BPM at the presentation was Dante Barone, Head of the West Milan Province Area. For the Legnanese race, one wish above all: an all-Italian cycling team with today's great champions at the start of the Coppa Bernocchi.
Representing the partners, also Salmoiraghi 1891, with Michela and Chiara Salmoiraghi: over 130 years of history and six generations of strong ties with Legnano and with the initiatives branded U.S. Legnanese 1913.
