A heavy loss has struck the Lucchini family and the cycling world: Valerio Lucchini passed away this morning at the age of 94. The entrepreneur from Valtriumplina was a true point of reference for the entire Brescia cycling movement and beyond: father of Alberto, who is actively involved today with Neri Sottoli Lucchini Energy, uncle of Imerio, who in turn is in the front row—together with his sons—with Gallina Lucchini Energy and other sponsorships, Valerio Lucchini held many roles in the world of cycling, driven by a passion that led him, even in recent times despite his advanced age, to follow youth races.

In the photo, which well captures Valerio Lucchini's love for cycling and the esteem he enjoyed in the cycling world, we see him in the center with Michele Dancelli, Giovanni Visconti, Luca Scinto, Imerio Lucchini and Francesco Moser.

Our deepest condolences and heartfelt embrace go out to the entire Lucchini family from our editorial team and Team Rodella.
