The "Oriana Fallaci" press room at Palazzo Ferro Fini in Venice provided a wonderful setting for the presentation of the 47th Triveneto Cyclocross Trophy. This historic circuit, promoted by the Triveneto committees of the Italian Cycling Federation, has thus arrived in the Veneto Region, hosted by regional councilor Giorgia Bedin. Present were Mario Guerretta, President of the Veneto FCI Committee, Maria Bertolo, Vice President of the Veneto FCI Committee, Flavio Furlanetto and Cristian Leghissa, Coordinators of the Triveneto CX Trophy, Renzo Pizzolato, President of the GC Santa Caterina Association, organizer of the Italian Cup CX.
Giorgia Bedin, in introducing the press conference, emphasized that "sport helps us stay healthy and build community, combating loneliness; it transmits important educational values, teaching us about effort and sacrifice to achieve our goals; it is a major driver for tourism."
Mario Guerretta, President of the Veneto Regional Committee of the Italian Cycling Federation, highlighted that "the Triveneto Cyclocross Trophy will promote off-road cycling, not only in Veneto and neighboring regions, but throughout Italy and the World."
Maria Bertolo, Vice President of the Veneto FCI Committee, recalled that "the event is among the longest-running in Italy for cyclocross. Within the Trophy, this year there will be room for the Italian Cup youth race. We will touch all Veneto provinces, and beyond."
Cristian Leghissa, Coordinator of the Triveneto Cyclocross Trophy, went into the details of the fourteen stages, spread across the Three Venices. "I am particularly proud of the Italian Cup reserved for young people, also because cycling is a school of life and excellent work has been done with the boys," said Leghissa.
Renzo Pizzolato, President of the Cycling Group 'Santa Caterina', introduced the Italian Cup youth cyclocross, of which he is the organizer. "A unique national race that will be held on December 29 and 30 in Casale sul Sile. It is the first time it will be hosted in Veneto and will see regional teams competing. It will be a significant moment of sport and healthy competition, but also of growth and comparison, in which each young athlete will be a protagonist and part of a community."
The Triveneto Trophy will offer 13 stages this year. The 1st race will take place on Sunday, October 26 in Motta di Livenza, in the Treviso area, where Zero5 Bike Team will present the 6th Cx De La Motha on the same course designed in the previous edition.
On November 8 there will be room for a new entry. In Majano, in Friuli territory, Bandiziol Cycling will present the 1st Majano City Trophy – Trattoria Da Gardo, which will be valid as a regional championship.
The following week will see a now customary "double header". Saturday, November 14 will see the Zambana race, in Trentino territory, organized by the Gardolo Cycling Club, which will be reserved only for youth categories and will boast a spectacular location. Simultaneously in Nalles on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 the UCI and Master categories and youth categories will compete respectively. The 35th Bolzano City Trophy, organized by the Bolzano Cyclocross Center, will therefore be held over two days. The race location is confirmed. Nalles hosts one of the most prestigious cross country races every year. The South Tyrol champion jerseys will also be awarded.
The following weekend will see another "double header". Saturday, November 21 appointment in Legnago, in the Verona area, organized by S.C. Giomas. 24 hours later, the Triveneto Trophy caravan will move to the Monselice Bike Park which will be the venue for the Monselice in Rosa Cross, set up by A.S.D. Atheste Bike in collaboration with Ciclistica Monselice. Both races will be of national character.
Sunday, November 29 will again be the protagonist in the province of Verona. In Roverchiara, Asd Vivi La Bici will present the 4th Fausto Chieppe Memorial.
Sunday, December 13 another new entry. In Legnaro, in the Padua area, S.C. Vigonza Barbariga will organize the 1st CX Bettella Cav. Marino, which will be valid as the Veneto youth regional championship.
On December 20 attention will shift to Scorze and the 52nd Cartoveneta Trophy, the oldest race on the calendar organized by Libertas Scorze, which will award the master and competitive regional titles.
On December 27 appointment in Castello Roganzuolo on the prestigious course designed by S.S. Sanfiorese. On December 31 there will be the now traditional end-of-year appointment in Casale sul Sile set up by G.C. Santa Caterina. 24 hours earlier on the same course the prestigious Italian Cup youth cyclocross will be held.
Grand finale of the Triveneto Trophy at Villa di Cordignano, where the organizing committee of Team Bosco Orsago will present a completely renovated race location. As every year at the end of the last race, the final awards ceremony will take place.
