UAE Team Emirates-XRG officially announces the signing of Pierre Gautherat, who has signed a three-year contract through 2029. The French talent born in 2003 arrives from Decathlon CMA CMG and in 2027 will be tested in the Classics and one-day races, leveraging his climbing ability and excellent speed for sprints that aren't too tight. In the Emirates jersey he will reunite with his French teammate Benoît Cosnefroy, who had been his teammate since turning professional in 2022.
"I am very proud to join UAE Team Emirates-XRG. It's a great opportunity for me and an exciting new chapter in my career - Gautherat stated. - I feel this is the ideal environment to take another step forward, continue to grow as a rider and test myself at the highest levels. I am particularly motivated by the Classics and want to continue to progress with an eye toward the most important races, as well as integrate into the team". And indeed the one-day Classic races will be the focus of the 23-year-old from Colmar, who this year won the Paris-Camembert, also achieving a second place at the Classique Dunkerque and a fourth at the Tro-Bro Léon, plus a second and third place in stage finishes at the recent Tour of Luxembourg.

As anticipated, he will reunite in the team with Cosnefroy, who after a difficult 2025 has regained his form and this year has achieved several satisfactions, most recently the victory at the Gran Premio città di Peccioli - Coppa Sabatini with his current 21st place in the UCI rankings. Gautherat is currently in 176th place, on the rise: how will he finish 2027?
