The last cycling appointment in the province of Arezzo Monday, October 5th in Castiglion Fibocchi with the 49th Mario Zanchi Trophy-Patron Saint Festival Trophy organized by Gs Acli directed by Sirio Chiodini.

Start at 2 PM, with 146 kilometers to cover. Departing from Castiglion Fibocchi, passing through Ponte a Chiani, Indicatore, Ponticino, Laterina, Monsoglio, back to Castiglion Fibocchi, then two laps touching San Giustino, Laterina, Monsoglio and passages under the finish line, followed by six circuits around the traditional loop around Castiglion Fibocchi passing through Meliciano and La Doccia.

Currently around one hundred entries. Among the teams Team Hopplà Firenze and several Tuscan clubs including the Arezzo-based Futura Team Rosini, Mg K Vis Costruzioni e Ambiente, Beltrami Tre Colli, Gallina Lucchini, Aran Cucine Vejus. This is the race that honors Mario Zanchi, a cyclist from Castiglion Fibocchi who won extensively among amateurs, competed for several seasons as a professional, and sadly died at just 37 years old from a fatal illness while following a race for the first time as sports director of the Fausto Coppi Laterina team. In 2027, when the race will celebrate its golden anniversary, we can anticipate that the Mario Zanchi Trophy will return to being held in spring in the month of April.
