Lorenzo Mark Finn - finishing 55th at the line - has a face marked by exhaustion when he reaches the microphone of Stefano Rizzato of RaiSport: "It was the hardest day of my life... When we entered the circuit we Italians were well positioned, I went well for the first five or six laps, then I started to feel the fatigue and in the end I even got cramps. It was like climbing a stadium, fantastic! It was still a great experience, these are building blocks that will be useful for the future. Certainly, I'll remember this day..."

Alongside him is Christian Scaroni who really gave everything for his teammates and finished the world championship in 18th place: "In the first two laps of the circuit France forced the pace, then with seven laps to go we Italians made our move, Pellizzari and I stepped up the tempo. Van der Poel's attack caught us by surprise, at that point Piganzoli and I had to give our all to get back in contention. There was great chaos throughout the day, we faced a hard and grueling race, but we crossed the finish line with the awareness that we had given everything we had".
