Team Polti VisitMalta announces that Germán Darío Gómez Becerra has been fully reinstated to the team’s activities and is once again eligible to compete with immediate effect, following the investigation carried out by the International Testing Agency (ITA), which officially confirmed that the adverse analytical finding was attributable to food contamination.
The decision entails the lifting of the provisional suspension imposed on the rider on 27 January, in relation to the adverse analytical finding that emerged from an out-of-competition test carried out on 28 December 2025.
The team welcomes with satisfaction the conclusion of the proceedings and Germán’s full reinstatement; the team has stood by him throughout, supporting him from the very beginning and all the way through the process.
At the same time, Team Polti VisitMalta reaffirms its commitment to complying with anti-doping regulations and to the principles of integrity and fair play that govern professional cycling.
The Colombian rider will return to racing this weekend at Paris-Chauny on Sunday, September 27, which will mark his season debut.
