Last Saturday at the headquarters of Ursus di Rosà, an Italian company leading in the production of high-end bike components, the 13th edition of Selle Smp Master Cross was unveiled. The prestigious cyclocross circuit, which every year attracts the best Italian competitors and numerous foreign athletes, will consist this year of 6 races: 3 with international status and 3 national.

As a demonstration of the great organizational quality achieved over the editions, many of the organizing societies of the Selle Smp Master Cross have organized and will organize the Italian championships of this discipline.

This year too, numerous companies have agreed to support the Master Cross. The main sponsors will be Selle Smp and Tek Series, Calinferno, Challenge and Volata. Many authorities were present, starting with those from the Italian Cycling Federation, namely federal councilor Checchin, member of the national technical commission Brancati, regional presidents of Veneto and Bolzano Mario Guerretta and Paolo Appoloni. Also present was Veneto Region councilor Giorgia Bedin.

Many novelties, starting with the opening race that will take place in Tuscany and will have international status. Appointment on Sunday, November 1st at Mugello Circuit with the 6th Città di Firenze Trophy, organized by Pol. Virtus VII Miglio Settimello. In charge will be Paolo Traversi, who in January 2027 will organize the Italian cyclocross championships for Masters and Agonists. The race location offers a spectacular and selective course, already much appreciated by participants in past editions. Breaking news: the Pol. Virtus VII Miglio and Mugello have just been awarded the Master Cyclocross World Championships 2027 and 2028. The decision came just hours ago during the 195th Congress of world cycling held in Montreal, Canada, during the world cycling championships.

The second appointment will have national status and will be held in Veneto, more precisely in Monselice, in the province of Padua. On Sunday, November 22nd, Asd Atheste Bike in collaboration with Asd Ciclistica Monselice will present the 3rd Monselice in Rosa Cyclocross. The event will take place inside the Monselice Bike Park, on a varied and especially very fun course, which is enriched every year with novelties. Last year a grandstand was built, a real wall at 27% gradient. This year Gianluca Barbieri, who will direct the organization, is thinking about new important improvements to make it even more appealing, as he likes to call it, the "Luna Park" of Monselice cyclocross.

The third race on Sunday, December 6th will be a confirmation for the Selle Smp Master Cross. San Pietro in Gu, in the province of Padua, is preparing for another important growth step. The 11th Ciclocross del Brenta, Trofeo Morbiato, which will be organized by Asd Fox Team chaired by Pietro Lucatello, this year will have international status and will therefore be able to boast a field of participants of absolute level. The flat race location, as every year, should not deceive. The course will not be banal at all. There will be a more technical section full of ups and downs, a challenging grandstand and a sandy stretch. The event will be preceded on Saturday, December 5th by the Social Ride, a gravel and MTB ride, and other fun initiatives.

Asd Fox Team in recent months has also been gratified with the assignment of the Italian Youth Cyclocross Championships, which it will organize in January 2029. Just 2 days later the Selle Smp Master Cross caravan will move to Faè di Oderzo in the historic and magnificent setting of Borgo Barattin. The prestigious international race, organized by Sportivi del Ponte headed by Mirko Barattin, will return to be placed on the historic holiday date of December 8th. This year too, the Ciclocross del Ponte promises to have at the starting line many foreign athletes who will make the clashes with the best Italian interpreters of this discipline even more competitive. An important novelty will concern the course. An important variant will be inserted in place of the traditional final woods.

The 5th race will have national status and be reserved for youth categories. Appointment still in the Treviso area in Castello Roganzuolo, in the municipality of San Fior, a location that has already hosted the Italian Youth Championships 2023 and 2026 under the organizational direction of S.S. Sanfiorese. The course, among the most appreciated in the national territory, will follow that of last January, but will be traveled in the opposite direction, somewhat like it was in the 2023 tricolor edition. In the first part of the morning the Team Relay will be held. In the afternoon the classic individual races. During the day there will also be space for competitions of other categories, namely Juniors, Open and Masters, but they will be valid for the general classification of the Triveneto Trophy and not the Selle Smp Master Cross.

Grand finale on Sunday, January 3rd in Vittorio Veneto with the 40th edition of the Gp Città di Vittorio Veneto. This event represents a great "return" in the Italian calendar. Organized by Cicloturistica Vittorio Veneto, it was one of the first that contributed to the birth and growth of the Selle Smp Master Cross. The last edition was held in December 2023. The heart of the event will be the Fenderl Area, where the final awards of the circuit will also be held.

"This year too we managed to set up an interesting and substantial circuit with some novelties – says Mirko Barattin, promoter of the circuit – The first time at Mugello, the youth race at Castello Roganzuolo, not to mention Vittorio Veneto. The appeal of the Selle SMP Master Cross is testified by the fact that, despite the withdrawal of San Francesco al Campo due to the restructuring work of the Francone velodrome, we immediately managed to replace the stage by involving our friends from Monselice. Credit to the organizers but also to the sponsors, who have supported us from the beginning".

"As promoters of the circuit, we try to balance more demanding needs and will – comments Achille Santin, circuit organizer - on one hand to give continuity to the historic events of the Italian calendar, such as Vittorio Veneto, which returns to being held after two years of break; on the other hand we try to refresh the program, inserting new races and giving the opportunity to new organizers to enter the circuit: in this edition we will have Mugello, the first race in Tuscany in the history of the Selle SMP Master Cross, and Monselice, which replaced San Francesco al Campo".
