The curtain rises on the 110th edition of the GranPiemonte presented by Crédit Agricole which will take place on October 8th on a 185-kilometre route from Asti to Bra. The race, in the .Pro category, is included in the calendar of the Coppa Italia delle Regioni.

At the presentation event, held at Palazzo Mazzetti in Asti, Alberto Cirio, President of the Piedmont Region, Marco Gabusi, Assessor for Transport of the Piedmont Region, Paolo Bellino, Chief Executive Officer and General Director of RCS Sports & Events, Luca Guercilena, Chief Operating Officer & Cycling Director of RCS Sports & Events, Mariano Rabino, President of the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Board, Maurizio Rasero, Mayor of Asti, and Francesco Matera, Assessor for Sport of the Municipality of Bra, participated.

THE GRANPIEMONTE PRESENTED BY CRÉDIT AGRICOLE ROUTE
A demanding route that features about ten climbs of varying length, among which Manera, Tre Cunei and Roddino stand out before the two passages at La Morra in the final circuit. Start from Asti to enter the first very undulating section which concludes at Dogliani after continuous ups and downs with hill roads sometimes with reduced width. Followed by a less demanding but still undulating stretch until the foot of the first passage at La Morra where you enter the final circuit of 34.7 km (1 lap). The final circuit passes a few hundred metres from the finish in Bra and heads towards Cherasco (climbed via the Strada Vecchia) and then climbs La Morra a second time to descend towards Verduno and then Pollenzo before finally heading to the finish (exiting the circuit) about 500 m from the finish.

Last kilometres flat until about 1800 m from the finish. The road then climbs with easy gradients (2/3%) until 1500 m where for 1 km they settle around 5% with peaks of 8% just before the last kilometre. The road gradually flattens and offers two left/right curves respectively at 500 m and 250 m from the finish. Final straight of 250 m in slight climb (about 1%).
