Victory number 22 in his career, the sixth in 2026 for Dorian Godon, who dominated the lakeside sprint in Anguillara Sabazia that allowed the experienced French rider from Ineos Netcompany to win the Gran Premio del Lazio yesterday.
Here are his words after the race: "After the nasty crash at the Tour de France, I worked hard to get back to my best and I'm really happy to have won the Gran Premio del Lazio, my third success in Italy after the Giro del Veneto in 2023 and the Coppa Bernocchi last year. This week I fine-tuned my condition at the Giro d'Abruzzo, where I took the points classification but collected two second-place finishes, and today I managed to crown a day of great work by the team, which managed to ward off numerous attacks. In particular, Peter Oxenberg was fantastic in the closing stages, in the end I had to make a move myself to control the situation and I knew that, with a flat finish but with several semi-curves, I needed to sprint decisively as I did."

After that, Godon took advantage of being on the shore of Lake Bracciano to take a nice plunge into the water...
