It will be in new colors that in the coming seasons we will admire in the peloton Guillaume Martin, Alexandre Delettre and Sergio Higuita. Both French riders and the twenty-nine-year-old from Medellin have indeed decided to change teams, parting ways with the formations they raced for over the last two years and therefore, starting from January 1st, 2027, we will have to get used to seeing them in different jerseys.

In detail, Guillaume Martin will end his adventure with Groupama-FDJ United to join Lotto Intermarchè, a team where he will have the opportunity to experience his second Belgian team stint of his career.

"Returning to a Belgian team was my first choice. I have only good memories from my four years with Wanty-Groupe Gobert: the CEO Jean-François Bourlart and I have known each other since then and have always stayed in touch. When I realized I needed to look for a new team, I called him right away. Of course, many things have changed since 2019, but at the same time I'm not venturing completely into the unknown" said the thirty-three-year-old Parisian after signing his new one-year contract.

"I truly believe in the Lotto-Intermarchè project. At 33 years old, I will raise the average age of the youngest squad in the group a bit, but I will also have an intriguing dual role. In some races I will have the opportunity to pursue my ambitions, but at the same time I will try to share my experience and act as a race director for the young talents of the team. This combination really appeals to me" revealed Martin, particularly eager to achieve a new top-ten finish in a major stage race.

"I continue to believe I have what it takes to fight for a top-ten finish in a Grand Tour. The eleventh place I achieved in the recent Vuelta reinforces this conviction. The Giro d'Italia is the only three-week stage race where I haven't yet managed to finish in the top ten, so that remains my dream. Obviously, however, I also have the Tour de France in mind because for every French rider – but really for everyone – it remains a truly special race".

Martin, therefore, while changing teams, will remain in the top tier of world professional cycling, the stage where, in his place in Groupama colors, Alexandre Delettre will return to perform. The twenty-eight-year-old from TotalEnergies has indeed signed a contract until 2028 with Thierry Corvec's team and, in doing so, will rejoin the WorldTour four years after leaving Cofidis. Here Delettre, always putting on the road the aggression and completeness shown in recent years, will try to take another step and attempt to secure that first professional victory that has always eluded him so far.

As for victories among the cycling greats, Sergio Higuita has already achieved several, and for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, he has chosen to leave the WorldTour and step down a level to join Caja Rural Seguros RGA.

"I'm joining a team with a long history behind it that has grown year after year, achieving great victories and podiums. The team is currently strengthening itself, has had an excellent season and faces the best of the WorldTour without fear: I like this project and that's why I decided to become part of it" declared the Colombian rider.

"I've achieved my best results in one-week stage races and one-day classics. I want to set these as my objectives again and try to do something beautiful. When I'm in form, I really like to try to be an aggressive rider, who attacks from far away and isn't afraid" continued the current XDS Astana rider, to whom Spain will also ask to pass on all his experience to the younger riders.

"I consider myself a very empathetic person and eager to share with my teammates. I have already gained great experience in European cycling, so I believe I can transmit confidence and serenity to them, but also how to manage moments of pressure, to be focused and concentrated, but at the same time maintain calm to do things properly" concluded the winner of the 2022 Volta Catalunya.
