Fourth day of racing at the Tour of Taihu Lake 2026 and third consecutive victory for Matteo Malucelli. After yesterday and the day before, the XDS Astana sprinter has indeed dominated today as well at Qidong where, at the finish line of the short fourth stage of just 79 kilometers, he beat the winner of the opening stage Joshua Giddings (Lotto Intermarché) and Dusan Rajovic (Solution Tech NIPOO Rali), who achieved his first top-3 finish in the race.

In doing so, the Forlì-based speedster has reached four seasonal victories (41 in his career including .2 races) and for the fifth time since 2016 has achieved a hat-trick within a stage race. Malucelli, however, can do even better tomorrow when, in the concluding Wuxi-Wuxi stage of 137.5 kilometers, he could even seal the four-timer and, in this way, celebrate in the best possible way the conquest of the general classification which, after today's success, sees him increasingly firmly ahead of everyone.
