Michele Gazzoli and Simone Raccani bring Italy back to the center of attention on the final day of the Tour of Armenia. The fourth stage speaks with a Brescia accent: Gazzoli, class of 1999 from Solution Tech NIPPO Rali, finds success again after more than three years since his last victory (Tour of Bulgaria, August 31, 2023). A relief. And he does it with a powerful sprint, outpacing Polish rider Patryk Stosz (Voster) and Danish Patrick Boje Frydkjaer (Lidl Trek Future Racing). Just off the podium is Francesco Carollo from Swatt Club, in fourth place.
Completing the Italian celebration is Simone Raccani, a Vicenza native born in 2001 from Team UKYO, who authoritatively claims the general classification of the Tour. A success built with consistency and clarity, sealed with 9" advantage over Danish rider Kevin Biehl (General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia) and 12" over Luca Covili (Bardiani CSF 7 Saber). Also in the top ten is the Brianza native Andrea Piras (Solution Tech NIPPO Rali), seventh at 48"
