The seventeenth stage departs from Seville's hinterland to tackle a long loop towards the east and then reverse course and return to the city centre for the likely final sprint. There are no altitude difficulties, and the wind in this area should not cause problems either, so the most probable scenario is a breakaway at the start and major work by the sprinters' teams to set up the final dash.
