With an attack launched in the final kilometer, Gaetanna Alhach Sjogren has conquered the Marinella di Sarzana-Arcola (Stab. Poliartigiana), the first stage of the Giro della Lunigiana Donne, which has reached its fifth edition.

The A.R. Monex rider broke away from the peloton, giving Mexico its first victory in the history of the Giro della Lunigiana and donning the Green Jersey as leader of the Points Challenge. Behind her, the bunch sprint was won by Giulia Costa-Staricco, ahead of Elena D'Agnese, for a podium completely renewed compared to the 2025 edition.

Tomorrow the race caravan will depart from the Poliartigiana facility heading towards La Spezia, where the queen of the fifth edition will be crowned.
