UAE Team L’IMAD is pleased to announce that Erica Magnaldi has renewed her contract with the team for another two seasons, through the end of 2028.

Present since the project's inception in 2022, Magnaldi has become one of the team's key figures over the years, distinguishing herself through consistency, reliability, and the ability to put her qualities at the service of the team. A role that the Piedmontese rider interprets with great pride and has contributed to the numerous successes achieved by UAE Team L’IMAD in recent seasons.

«Overall it has been a positive season» Erica explains. «I have contributed to excellent team results, which for me are always like a personal success, once again demonstrating consistency and reliability. I also achieved some personal satisfactions, especially with placements in Chambéry and in gravel racing, including the national title». During the season she also wore the European Gravel Champion jersey.

Among the most beautiful moments of the year is certainly the victory achieved by the team at the Vuelta, a success that Erica remembers especially for what happened after the finish line. «Among the most beautiful moments I will certainly remember the victory at the Vuelta and the celebrations with the entire staff. It was truly an unforgettable moment of team cohesion».

It is precisely this sense of belonging that represents one of the most important elements of the relationship between Magnaldi and UAE Team L’IMAD. In five years, the team has become much more than a simple professional environment. «UAE has given me above all a group of people, among teammates and staff, that I can rely on, almost a second family, while also always providing me with the material and physical tools to perform at the highest level. Not least, it has shown me trust for five years and demonstrates it wants to continue doing so».

A trust that Erica has chosen to reciprocate with another two seasons.
«These are the reasons why I decided to renew, along with the shared vision I have with this team of continuous growth and ambition, not only personal but collective».

The new contract will extend the relationship through the end of 2028 and could represent the final two years of her road racing career.
«These will probably be the last two years of my road racing career. Leaving those who have accompanied me through the ups and downs, right at the end of my career, would have been a risk and a shame. I am ready to bring out the best in this final two-year period».

In this decision, the group of teammates had a decisive influence.
«The group is fundamental, perhaps the main reason that has always pushed me to stay. These girls know how to bring out the best in me and know how to make even the most difficult moments seem light».
 

Over the years Magnaldi has built her sporting identity precisely through this role as an athlete in service of the team, becoming a valuable domestique for the leaders and a presence that teammates and staff can rely on in decisive moments.

Looking to the future, Magnaldi wants to continue contributing to the team, without giving up the possibility of seizing some personal opportunities. «In the new season I want to continue to assert my role as a valuable domestique and, why not, be able to seize some personal opportunities when possible. I also hope that gravel racing will remain part of my season, with new intriguing challenges».
