The condition of nineteen-year-old Modern Adventure rider Ezra Caudell remains a serious concern. As his team has reported, the 2006-born rider from Acworth is still hospitalized following a serious crash involving Milan Menten on Sunday.

Left unconscious approximately ninety kilometers from the finish line of the Philadelphia Cycling Classic, Caudell was immediately transported by ambulances following the race to a hospital facility in Pennsylvania, where he received immediate medical attention and underwent the necessary clinical assessments required by his condition.

In the following hours, an awaited update came from his team, which revealed the nature of the injuries sustained in the racing incident.

"Ezra remains hospitalized and is receiving intensive care for the multisystem trauma (a clinical condition in which an individual sustains two or more traumatic injuries in different body parts or organ systems, ed.) suffered as a result of the accident that occurred during the Philadelphia Cycling Classic" reported the American team of George Hincapie.

"He has an extraordinary team by his side working with great dedication along with his family. We are grateful for the outpouring of support and the continued encouragement you are showing us".

Caudell, who will turn 20 on September 8th, was the youngest rider at the start of the last Paris-Roubaix and boasts a fourth-place finish in the road race at the U.S. national championships for Under 23 riders as his best result of the season.
