At the Vuelta of Spain, Tadej Pogacar is the unreachable man, but behind him in the group there is no shortage of spectacle and, day after day, the battle becomes increasingly intense. Yesterday in Andorra la Vella, Pogacar in the red jersey left everyone behind, but chasing him were important riders and among them Primoz Roglic, who surprised everyone by securing second place in the general classification of the Spanish race. His participation in this edition of the Vuelta was in doubt until the last moment, due to a training accident that had forced him to question his presence in the competition. However, his fighting spirit and determination have led him to a result that, although unexpected, demonstrates his resolve and talent.

Roglic after the finish was smiling and satisfied and at the same time surprised by the placement he achieved. «A couple of weeks ago I couldn't even ride a bike, so I'm happy. I'm here and I'm simply happy to be here». These words perfectly sum up his state of mind: from a worrying injury to a performance that now sees him in contention for a podium place. His ability to adapt to circumstances and return to form in such a short time is a testament to his dedication to cycling.

In the fourth stage, the Slovenian showed impressive determination. He attacked and raced with a force that left everyone speechless. Pogacar arrived solo and 2'39" behind were Widar, Gall, Onley, Kuss, Mas and then Roglic ahead of Carapaz who arrived shortly after. «Given how I attacked and how I raced, for me Andorra is a victory».

His winning mentality is evident; he doesn't settle for a simple placement and always aims for the highest result. «I always tell myself that I'm here to win. That's why today for me is my victory», he added, highlighting his competitive approach and desire to push beyond his limits.

With such a strong performance, expectations are high for the rest of the Vuelta. Roglic has shown that, despite adversity, he is capable of competing at the highest levels. His desire to achieve further results and the confidence he has in himself make him a formidable contender for the final victory.
