The Andorra climbs are one of those appointments that the Vuelta simply cannot miss: even though this year the race schedule presents it very early, the menu remains the same as always, namely plenty of climbing. Fourth stage, starting and finishing in Andorra la Vella, just 104.8 km, but 2,890 meters of elevation gain and four categorized climbs.

The race starts immediately uphill and what a climb: right from the gun comes the Port d'Envalira (1st category, 23.3 km at 5.1%). The menu is straightforward: a long descent to reach the foot of the Collada de Beixalís (1st category, 7 km at 8.5%), then another descent before tackling the Coll de Ordino (1st category, 10 km at 7%), then a descent to reach La Comella (3rd category, 4 km at 5.9%) and from there another descent heading towards the finish line.

A short stage, as we said, that will certainly write an important chapter in the history of this 81st edition: never more than this time does the saying hold true that "we will find out who cannot win the race". And the impression is that there could be many...
