Giulio Ciccone will not take the start of the final stage of the Lidl Deutschland Tour. The Abruzzo rider was already feeling unwell before the start of Saturday's third stage and his condition deteriorated during and after the race.

He is presenting symptoms of a viral infection. Therefore, the team has decided not to take any risks and to give him a period of rest to allow him to recover completely.
