Tiago Antunes takes center stage in Taranto with a powerful and flawless performance. The Portuguese rider from Efapel Cycling, born in 1997, dominates the 17 km Elite individual time trial at the Mediterranean Games, finishing in 20'05" and confirming his aptitude in races against the clock. Second place goes to Zabelinskiy (Cyprus), while Portuguese Reis – already winner of the 2022 edition in Algeria – completes the podium, both finishing 9" behind the winner.
For the Italian team, another double presence just off the podium, as already happened in the women's race: Mirko Maestri finishes fourth with a gap of 18", while Luca Giaimi takes fifth place at 25" back.
