The countdown is on for the 3rd GP Caffè Borbone, a national cycling race for Juniors (17-18 years old) born from the collaboration between Caffè Borbone and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, a Continental team that from 2026 sees the inclusion of the market-leading company in Italy in the single-serve coffee pods and capsules sector in its name, strengthening a partnership now in its third year.
Following the successes of the first two editions, the third promises to be the most participated: 26 teams at the start with approximately 170 registered riders, coming from 4 countries and 11 Italian regions: Abruzzo, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Sicily, Tuscany, Trentino and Veneto. The three foreign teams are the Mexican team AR Monex Pro Cycling, the English Zappi Racing Team and Team Tiepolo U19 Devo NSN, the development squad of the Swiss World Tour team. A field of competitors that confirms the growth of the event and its appeal at national and international level.
The 3rd GP Caffè Borbone will take place on Saturday, August 22 between Errano di Faenza and Brisighella, on a well-established and technically interesting route, in the suggestive Parco della Vena del Gesso Romagnola, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The technical organization is handled by Pol. Zannoni di Errano and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, supported by Caffè Borbone, partner of the project since 2024.
The event has the patronage and support of the Municipality of Brisighella, Municipality of Faenza, Unione della Romagna Faentina, Emilia-Romagna Region and Italian Cycling Federation, confirming the institutional and territorial value that the race has built in just three editions, not forgetting the importance of collaboration with law enforcement and in particular with the Local Police.
In 2026 the collaboration between Caffè Borbone and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone has been further consolidated with the company's entry into the team's naming rights, testifying to a shared vision and an increasingly strong bond: supporting the potential of new generations, promoting sport as a tool for valuing talent and building an authentic relationship with the territory.
Caffè Borbone is now an integral part of the Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone project, alongside the team throughout the Elite and Under 23 cycling season, and also present in initiatives such as the Suzuki Bike Day and the Cassanata. With the Gran Premio Caffè Borbone, the company strengthens its commitment to new generations by creating a supply chain that supports cycling from the junior level to the threshold of professionalism.
The GP Caffè Borbone will also touch in 2026 the areas affected by the 2023 flood and made famous by the passage of the 2024 Tour de France: a route that tells the story of the resilience and beauty of a territory that has managed to rise again with determination.
From a technical and sporting perspective, it will also be a significant appointment. The roll of honor already boasts names of great quality: in 2024 it was won by Romagnolo Enea Sambinello, now in the development formation of UAE Team Emirates, the team of Tadej Pogačar. In 2025, Patrik Pezzo Rosola prevailed, son of Paola Pezzo — two-time Olympic champion in mountain biking — and Paolo Rosola, former road professional winner of stages at the Giro d'Italia. A roll of honor already a guarantee of quality and appeal for the best Italian and foreign Juniors.
The race - The start is scheduled for 1:15 PM from Errano di Faenza, home of the Polisportiva Corrado Zannoni. The finish is expected around 4:10 PM in the historic center of Brisighella, in Piazza Marconi, the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The 125 km route follows that of previous editions. The start is suggestive and demanding with eight laps of the high Coralli circuit, before tackling three climbs in the last 25 km: two passages over Rio Chié (the last 5 km from the finish), a climb of Monticino (GPM 18 km from the end), a climb also tackled by the 2024 Tour de France, and the grand finale in the center of Brisighella.
The 3rd GP Caffè Borbone is promoted by Caffè Borbone, in collaboration with Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone and Polisportiva Corrado Zannoni, with the patronage and involvement of the Municipality of Brisighella, Unione della Romagna Faentina, Italian Cycling Federation and partners Terra di Brisighella, BCC Ravennate Forlivese e Imolese, Assmont and Ghetti Ravenna.
