Andrew August is increasingly in command of the race and puts his signature on the third stage of the Czech Tour, the Pardubice - Dlouhé Stráně covering 170.9 km. The American from Netcompany INEOS has repeated the success he achieved yesterday in the second stage and confirms himself as the strongest climber in the Czech race.
As happened yesterday, August preceded Alessandro Fancellu (MBH Bank) and Domenico Pozzovivo (Solution Tech), with Alex Tolio and Filippo Turconi (both from Bardiani CSF 7 Saber) securing a position in the top ten. Naturally, August further solidifies his position as leader of the general classification.
THE RACE. The day's breakaway was launched by Samuel Boardman (Modern Adventure Pro Cycling), Nolan Huysmans (Team Flanders - Baloise), Filippo Ridolfo (Team Novo Nordisk), Dominik Neuman (ATT Investments), Josef Černý (Kasper crypto4me) and Romet Pajur (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe Rookies).
On the final climb (13.2 km at 5.4% average gradient), Manuele Tarozzi (Bardiani CSF 7 Saber) also tried to make his mark, but he was forced to surrender to the pace of the main group.
