How beloved is Isaac Del Toro in Mexico? Judging by the tributes his hometown, Ensenada, is paying him, the answer is crystal clear: very much so!

The national champion, fresh off his third-place finish at the Tour de France and the conquest of the white jersey as best young rider, has been honored with a large-scale mural at the El Sauzal interchange on the Ensenada-San Miguel highway.

The artwork, created by urban artist Juan Pablo Melchum Alba, known as "Noche," celebrates the athlete's achievement with an image that has already made history, namely that of Del Toro himself and Tadej Pogacar celebrating their success by making the horns gesture.

During a visit to the site, Mayor Claudia Agatón explained that the work measures 20 meters in length by 5.5 meters in height, while the artist added that approximately one million strokes and dots were used in its creation, making it one of the most representative urban artworks in the country.

Is that all? Not by a long shot! The mayor announced that Ensenada's administration is working on a new tribute to Isaac Del Toro with the construction of a statue standing over 3.10 meters tall, created by sculptor Leonel Vaca.
