Just over a week until the national junior race in Santa Croce sull'Arno, the Leather and Hides Industries Grand Prix this year in a special edition as it will be the eightieth edition of the series that began in 1946, organized by U.C. Santa Croce. The appointment is for Sunday 16th August with the start at 2:30 PM and arrival expected around 5:30 PM after 127 km that will traditionally cross the various municipalities of the district, passing through Fucecchio and then climbing towards San Miniato via Via A. Moro, descent to La Serra and passage through Montopoli in Val d'Arno, San Romano and then entering Castelfranco di Sotto and continuing to Santa Maria a Monte with three spectacular passages through the historic center.
The race will continue through Cerretti and Montefalcone to return to Santa Croce where a 15 km circuit will begin to be repeated 4 times with the climb of Poggio Adorno; finish on Via Brunelleschi near the Palasport. 160 riders are registered representing 26 teams (of which 3 foreign from France, Austria and the Netherlands) coming from all regions of Italy. Notable is the presence of the Italian junior champion Enrico Balliana of Ecotek Zero24. The pairing with the 64th Pietro Linari Cup continues as in 2025, which will take place the following day in Borgo a Buggiano with the same protagonists of the Santa Croce race and everything enriched also by the 4th Irriducibili Trophy of Terricciola which will instead be held on Monday 17th August. The special prize in memory of Piero Pratesi, the unfortunate motorcyclist who died in a tragic accident during a cycling race in May 2025 in Stabbia, is confirmed.
