The 2026 Italian Youth Track Cycling Championships have begun at the Le Cascine Velodrome in Florence, with the awarding of the first two titles in the U16 Madison events.
The first national title of the competition goes to Emilia-Romagna, thanks to the pair formed by Thomas Vitaloni (Ciclistica 2000 Likotol) and Luca Gregori (Velo Club Cremonese), the new Italian champions in the men's U16 Madison. The two Emilian riders finished ahead of their regional teammates Manuel Balboni and Alessandro Bellettini, while the bronze medal went to the Venetian pair Matias Dal Bò and Mattia Forlin from Pedale Marenese Gino Bartali.
In the women's final, Veneto takes the top spot on the podium: Carlotta Casarotti and Giorgia Guidolin, riders for Officine Alberti Val d'Illasi – UC Giorgione, claim the national jersey following a well-managed race. Second place goes to the Lombard pair Alice Ceretti (Sport Club Brescia Flandres Love) and Giorgia Nardelli (Busto Garolfo). The third step of the podium goes to the Tuscan pair Ilary Ceccarelli (CC Appenninico 1907) and Matilde Mannelli (GS Capannori).
