At the beginning of July we had anticipated the rumors bringing  Mikel Landa closer to Euskaltel – Euskadi, yesterday the confirmation came directly from the interested party himself. «I am very happy to be able to announce that starting from 2027 I return to Euskaltel – Euskadi. I return home, to the team that saw me grow» said the 36-year-old Basque rider in a video message. 

Landa, who had begun his WorldTour adventure with the orange team in the 2011 season, expressed his hope to relive the beautiful moments of the beginning of his career together with the team and the fans.

Winner of 16 races so far in his career, Landa has worn the jerseys of Astana, Sky, Movistar, Bahrain and since 2024 has been riding for Soudal Quick-Step, which he will leave at the end of the season.

The agreement reached between the athlete from Murgia and Euskaltel – Euskadi is for two years.
