The startlist of participants for the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, which will start on August 3rd, is being finalized these days. As befits a race of the highest level, the world's leading teams will present themselves in Poland with cyclists who have already achieved important successes in major competitions. Among these is Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), included in the team's official roster.
The Italian had already taken part in the Tour de Pologne in 2022, when he achieved two third-place finishes. In recent years he has made enormous progress, establishing himself as one of the world's best sprinters.
His impressive palmares includes, among other things, five stage wins at the Giro d'Italia, two at the Tour de France and the points classification jerseys in both Grand Tours. Milan has also won at Tirreno-Adriatico, the UAE Tour and the Renewi Tour and, more recently, became Italian champion. It is precisely along the roads of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour that he will wear the distinctive tricolor jersey for the first time.
In the most hectic stage finishes, Milan will be able to count on the help of Edward Theuns and Simone Consonni. Lidl-Trek will also fight for the top positions in the ORLEN General Classification with Matteo Sobrero, who finished third in the previous edition, as well as the dynamic Andrea Bagioli and Lennard Kämna. Jacopo Mosca completes the lineup.
The race will take place from August 3rd to 9th, starting from Gdynia and finishing at the Wieliczka salt mine. On the eve of the start, the riders will be presented aboard the ORP "Błyskawica" ship in the port of Gdynia.
The competition will be broadcast on TVP and Eurosport channels, as well as on the HBO Max streaming platform, thus reaching fans in 65 countries.
