They began arriving in dribs and drabs from the morning and the numbers kept growing, growing, growing until they filled the entire square and all the streets, becoming a yellow tide. Komenda organized the twenty-second stage of the Tour de France, the most beautiful and festive one, with an entire people gathered around their champion.

And Tadej Pogacar, strictly in his world champion's jersey, put on a show riding alongside many friends and then taking to the stage dressed in typical attire for a young man of his generation, performing acrobatics on a unicycle, taking photos with fans and celebrating his triumph in the yellow jersey. Tadej had a blast and savored the embrace of his people after bringing the Tour trophies to the Pogi Team headquarters, where he keeps them and uses them to inspire the young cyclists who wear his team's colors.
