Their hair is grey by now for everyone, wrinkles line their faces, their physique may no longer be so sharp, but their spirit, their desire to be in good company and above all their friendship are the same as ever. And when the "recall bell" rings, sounded by Marzio Bruseghin, it is truly impossible not to answer.

So it happens that at the San Maman Agricultural Farm a group of former cyclists arrives to spend a special day and perhaps also have some special encounters, like that of Dino Zandegù who found himself face to face with Gianni, a splendid donkey who has never ridden a bike, but who as a tough test has well rivaled the former cycling champion.

Countless memories unfolded between one course and another served by the highly skilled cook Bruna, helped by the legendary Sabrina, Marzio's sister, also favored by a few sips of Prosecco AMETS.

At the table, among many others, were seated Dino Zandegù, Mauro Longo, Ennio Salvador, Gianni Moro, Valter Zaupa, Giacomo Favalessa, Toni Dal Bo and Silvayn Lorenzon, a special friend of Tadej Pogacar like Gino Zanussi from Sacile, born in 1935, a master brewer of the caliber of Gabriele Tonon, himself also a former cyclist.

Peaceful hours in an authentic natural paradise, surrounded by Marzio's donkeys, for a special day. One that no one will easily forget, as always happens when you find yourself among cycling friends...
