The Cremona-based rider claims the title in the Women's Elite Sprint, a discipline in which she has always been a prominent figure on the international stage as well. Vece wins the final ahead of young emerging talent Matilde Cenci, while Elena Bissolati takes the bronze medal.
Among the Elite men, Stefano Moro confirms his dominance. The Bergamo rider, already gold in the Keirin, reaches the final with Matteo Bianchi, whom he defeats in two matches. Silver therefore goes to Bianchi, and bronze to Christian Quaglio.
