After days of anxiety, today Elena Miglioranza returned to her home in Portogruaro. Tired faces, but finally serene. "They were difficult days, but we made it. The staff was very helpful. Everything went well," says the sixteen-year-old cyclist, hospitalized last week following the serious bicycle accident that occurred while she was competing in a race in Bavaria di Nervesa.
By her side was her father Andrea, president of the La Sorgente di Pradipozzo cycling club, who in recent days wanted to publicly thank Dr. Silvia Orazio, head of the Suem 118 Treviso Emergency Operations Center, who was the first to provide assistance, intubating the girl.
Their story touched the hearts of many people. In these days, messages, thoughts and words of affection have arrived from everywhere: a collective embrace that supported Elena and her family in their most difficult moment.
Today that warmth transforms into the greatest joy: the road to recovery continues at home. Our best wishes to Elena for a swift and complete recovery.
