The Tour de Pologne Women will once again attract the best female athletes to the starting line. The provisional start list includes cyclists of the caliber of Lorena Wiebes, Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx-Protime) and Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek). Now Chiara Consonni has also joined this group, whose name appears in the latest Canyon//SRAM roster for the Polish race.
Fans will perfectly remember her performances in the previous edition: on that occasion, the Italian rider secured two stage victories in Zamość and Kraśnik and, thanks to her solid performance over the three days of racing, claimed the yellow jersey as winner of the ORLEN General Classification.
This year she is ready to return to Poland to compete and repeat last year's success – this time at UCI ProSeries level, the category to which the 4th Tour de Pologne Women has been promoted. On the starting line will be, among others, 8 teams with UCI Women's WorldTour licenses, along with the Polish national team and the only local continental squad, MAT ATOM Deweloper Wrocław.
The competition will take place from July 24 to 26 on a scenic route in the Lublin Voivodeship. The race will start in Tomaszów Lubelski and finish on Sunday in Lublin, the regional capital. The race will be broadcast on TVP and the HBO Max streaming platform, reaching enthusiasts in 65 countries.
