Courmayeur is preparing to host the second edition of the Randonnée du Mont Blanc, the unsupported cycling event organized by EPICDAYS.CC that on July 25th, 2026 will take participants on an epic journey: a bicycle tour around Mont Blanc, crossing some of the most iconic roads and landscapes of the Alps. Following last year's debut, the event returns with its signature formula: a challenge to be tackled in complete autonomy, with no rankings or timing, where everyone is free to choose their own pace and way of experiencing the adventure.
It is a journey that changes face with every hour of the day: the crisp air of the early morning hours, the sun illuminating the alpine ridges, the long descents immersed in silence, and the waterfalls that suddenly appear along the road transform the sporting challenge into an experience of continuous discovery. A route of immersion and territorial exploration to be experienced in autonomy, yet always within a community united by the same passion for cycling and adventure.
The Randonnée du Mont Blanc offers two routes. The main course measures 330 km and accumulates approximately 9,000 m of elevation gain, crossing Italy, Switzerland, and France along some of the great and legendary roads of alpine cycling. The shorter route, the Randonnée du Mont Blanc Express, instead spans 100 km and 3,000 m of elevation gain, through Italy and France.
Both routes feature a variant dedicated to road bikes and one designed for the off-road world, allowing anyone with any type of gravel or mountain bike to experience this adventure. The longer route guides participants along some of the great alpine roads, including the Petit-Saint-Bernard Pass, the Col de Roselend, transit through the villages of Les Saisies, Megève, Chamonix, the climb to Col de la Forclaz, passage through Martigny, and finally the ascent to the Great St. Bernard Pass, ending in Courmayeur, in an uninterrupted succession of valleys, forests, and high-altitude panoramas.
As with every unsupported event, participants must independently manage accommodations, food, and logistics. However, they are not left alone. EPICDAYS.CC provides a detailed guide with suggestions on the most interesting points along the route, practical information for undertaking the journey, and advice on where to stay. Furthermore, thanks to integration with Komoot's live tracking system, organizers, relatives, and friends can follow participants' positions in real-time along the course.
No timing and no rankings, as we said, but a finisher's diploma that will be presented by the hands of Andy Serighelli, the mastermind behind the organization. Last year he waited for everyone at the finish: from the first, who completed the Randonnée du Mont Blanc in less than 24 hours, to the last group of die-hards who finished it in five days. Among the services included by EPICDAYS.CC is also the presence of a team of photographers distributed along the route, tasked with documenting the experience through images and content dedicated to the riders. The start and finish will be hosted in the heart of Courmayeur, which on Friday, July 24th will come alive with a welcome party and a rich calendar of talks, music, and activities designed to engage not only participants, but also the public and enthusiasts.
