On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the first edition of "The Smile Classic – Sergio Longoni Memorial" kicks off, a cycling relay for everyone promoted by Fondazione Sacra Famiglia along the Ligurian coast: a great celebration of sport, solidarity and territory. The stars of the show will be 15 Fra' Bikes, special pedal-assisted bicycles designed for people with disabilities - mixed-guidance tandems and vehicles with wheelchair platforms - guided by volunteers and operators together with residents of the Foundation's facilities. In total, approximately 200 participants including guests, operators and volunteers from the Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy locations.

The route will wind along the new Riviera cycling path, an infrastructure ideal for inclusive and accessible use, touching Andora, Cervo, San Bartolomeo al Mare, Diano Marina, Imperia, San Lorenzo al Mare, Santo Stefano al Mare, Riva Ligure and Taggia, with arrival in Sanremo.

 The Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi will be present at the start, together with representatives of local and regional institutions. Mayors of all the municipalities crossed, regional councillors and organizations from the third sector, volunteering and sports associations in the territory are invited. The event takes place in a special year for Fondazione Sacra Famiglia, which celebrates three milestones: the Foundation's 130 years of activity, the 70th anniversary of the Andora location and the 10th anniversary of the Loano location.

 The first edition is dedicated to the memory of Sergio Longoni, an entrepreneur from Brianza, founder of Longoni Sport and DF Sport Specialist, a pioneer of specialized sports retail in Italy and a friend of the Fra' Bike project, who recently passed away. Longoni's family and a delegation of company employees will participate in the event.
