The wait is over. Starting tomorrow, Monday, July 20, the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome will host the 29th edition of the International Grand Prix of Fiorenzuola – 6 Days of the White Roses, one of the most prestigious appointments on the international track calendar. Until Saturday, 22 UCI International Grand Prix will be awarded, with valuable points at stake for the rankings that determine qualification for World Championships and Olympics.
Nearly 180 athletes and competitors from 28 nations, representing all continents. At the start are Olympic champions, world champions and European champions, with many of the best young talents on the world stage, ready to compete in endurance and sprint specialties.
Leading the list of entries are Olympic Madison champions Chiara Consonni and Vittoria Guazzini, who have been assigned numbers 1 and 2. Number 1 among the men goes to Simone Consonni, a three-time Olympic medalist.
Tomorrow's opening evening will kick off with four Under 23 men's and women's races and with the return of Elite Keirin and Sprint races.
Enriching the opening of the event will also be an exhibition by the Pontolliese Band Corps with Majorettes.
Admission to the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome will be free for the entire duration of the event. The complete program is available on the website www.fiorenzuolatrack.eu.
