The UEC Junior and Under 23 Track European Championships have concluded at the Velodromo di Cottbus (Germany), with six intense days of competition seeing 436 athletes from 32 nations competing for 44 continental titles in one of the most prestigious events on the UEC calendar dedicated to youth track cycling.

In the final medal table, Italy finishes in first place with 14 gold medals, 7 silver and 6 bronze, ahead of Germany (9, 6 and 4) and Belarus (3, 1 and 1).

The 2026 edition has once again confirmed the high technical level of the European movement, highlighting athletes already prominent on the international stage and new talents destined to make their mark in the years to come.

In the Under 23 category, Federica Venturelli (Italy) stood out in particular, achieving a splendid double thanks to victories in the Individual Pursuit and Points Race, Palina Konrad, winner of the Elimination and Omnium, Clara Schneider (Germany), who in front of her home crowd conquered the titles in Sprint and Keirin, and Raphael Kokas (Austria), who managed to win both the Scratch and Madison.

Among the Juniors, the absolute protagonist was Angelina Novolodskaya, who conquered three European titles, winning the Individual Pursuit, Omnium and Madison. A double also for Agata Campana (Italy), winner of Scratch and Elimination, and for Emilie Jarošová (Czech Republic), new European champion in Sprint and Keirin.

Great celebration for the German public thanks to the victories achieved at home, including gold in the Junior Men's Team Sprint and the prestigious double in the Junior Men's Keirin, as well as the title in the Under 23 Women's Team Pursuit.

Enrico Della Casa, President of the Union Européenne de Cyclisme: "With 436 athletes representing 32 nations, this edition of the Junior and Under 23 Track European Championships registered a new participation record, confirming the great appeal of track cycling and the importance that national federations attribute to youth activities. We witnessed six days of races at the highest technical level, with young athletes who, I am certain, we will see again as protagonists at the highest levels of international cycling in the coming years. These Championships represent much more than a simple competition: they are a fundamental path of sporting and personal growth, a genuine springboard towards elite cycling. Many of the champions who today dominate the international scene began their journey precisely in the velodromes of the Junior and Under 23 European Championships."
