Livigno and Team Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe announce a new multi-year partnership, which will see the location become the Official Altitude Training Destination of the UCI World Tour team.
The agreement stems from a shared vision of elite sports preparation and consolidates Livigno's role among international reference destinations for altitude training and endurance. In recent years, the location has developed a complete and constantly evolving ecosystem dedicated to performance that combines altitude, infrastructure, specialized hospitality, and a rich network of routes capable of meeting the needs of the world's best professional cyclists. The presence of Team Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe athletes confirms the role that Livigno has built among reference destinations for altitude training.
During the 2026 season, the Team will use Livigno as its reference base for preparing for the major appointments on the international calendar. Following the altitude training periods already completed by Jai Hindley and Nico Denz in preparation for the Tour de France, the partnership will also support preparation for subsequent season appointments, from the Vuelta a España, with Primož Roglič in the role of team leader, through to the World Championships.
The partnership will also enable the development of a shared program of dedicated activities and content, highlighting the daily work of the athletes and the connection between the Team and the 1816 Bike Zone Livigno, through initiatives aimed at the international community of enthusiasts and visitors to the location.
"This partnership represents an important recognition of the path that Livigno has been building for years and that reflects its essence," comments Luca Moretti, President of Livigno Next. "Being chosen as Official Altitude Training Destination by a team of the caliber of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe means seeing recognized the value of a system that places performance care at its center, relating it to extraordinary nature, the quality of hospitality, and a deep culture of endurance. It is yet another confirmation of the international positioning our destination has achieved."
Melanie Hofbauer, Chief of Commercial at Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, added: "We know Livigno through the Giro d'Italia and have had the opportunity to experience firsthand the extraordinary conditions it is able to offer. This is why we are particularly pleased to welcome Livigno as an official partner of our Team. The ideal environment for altitude training and preparation for the season's major appointments makes Livigno a fundamental component of our sports planning."
The collaboration is part of the development path of the 1816 Bike Zone Livigno, the project that brings together under a single identity everything the territory expresses in the bike world: major events, altitude training, specialized services, dedicated hospitality, and a community that lives cycling as an integral part of its identity. The choice of Team Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe represents a new confirmation of Livigno's ability to attract some of the most authoritative realities in international professional cycling.
