The 29th edition of the Gran Premio dell'Arno – Silver Cup of the Municipality of Solbiate Arno will be held on Sunday, July 5 in Solbiate Arno. The event organized by the Società Ciclistica Carnaghese was officially presented at the Ville Ponti Congress Center in Varese with president Emilio Bea, Alessandra Conti, and Adriano Zanzi, who outlined all the details of this nationally-significant event, which represents the first organizational commitment for the Carnaghese club in the year of the 50th anniversary of the cycling society's founding. During the presentation, the participation of the new Italian Champion Edoardo Andrea Balliana was announced.
COURSE Following tradition, the race route features the classic "Circuito dell'Arno" circuit of 11,800 meters, which will be completed eleven times for a total of 129.8 kilometers. The start is scheduled for 2:00 PM from Solbiate Arno, and competitors will then pass through Solbiate Arno, Caronno Varesino, Stribiana locality, Carnago, Monte, Oggiona, Solbiate Arno (sports field), Solbiate Arno center (mountain prize point), and Via Aldo Moro, with the finish expected around 5:00 PM.
SPECIAL PRIZES Several significant awards have been put up by the organizers. The sports director of the first-place finisher will receive the Luigi Benati Memorial, the mountain prize is dedicated to Rino Colombo, and the winning team will be awarded the Riganti Trophy. Among the collaborations for this edition is the Facebook page "Dietro ogni casco" (Behind Every Helmet).
