The Decathlon CMA CGM press conference to announce the roster for the Tour de France, which was supposed to take place today, has been postponed indefinitely. The French team is dealing with a series of injuries and issues and has decided to delay the announcement which, in any case, does not call into question Paul Seixas's participation in the Grande Boucle.
The nineteen-year-old talent is recovering from a nasty crash in the penultimate stage of the Tour Auvergne Rhône: in recent days, while in a training camp with his teammates in Arcs, in the Alps, he has been training on the rollers and yesterday morning he underwent a new control CT scan which, according to L'Equipe, showed that everything is fine.
The same cannot be said for some other squad members: at the moment, Riesj Benoot and Stefan Bissegger are certain of their spots, while the presence of Olav Kooij remains uncertain, especially because if the choice fell on the Dutch sprinter, the team would need to provide him with at least a small lead-out train.
