The third Federal Council meeting of 2026 took place yesterday in Cavenago di Brianza. At the opening of proceedings, the President reported to the Council on meetings held in Brussels and with the organizing committee for Trento 2031. "In the heart of Europe we have brought forward our proposals on safety – he said – increasingly relevant in light of recent tragic events. We found interlocutors who understood our message. My hope is that politicians will follow words with concrete actions. We cannot tolerate what happened this weekend again, with two of our members struck down and killed by cars within less than 24 hours".

Dagnoni then reported on the outcome of the meeting with the organizing committee for the super world championships in Trento 2031: "I am convinced that it will be a major event capable of confirming the organizational capacity of our cycling movement. There is still much work to be done, but the quality of the resources involved makes me optimistic"

2025 FINANCIAL STATEMENT - The Council approved the 2025 financial statement, which closed with an economic surplus of €300,082.93 and an increase in production value of approximately 2%. "This positive result – said President Dagnoni – is the fruit of careful management policy and rationalization of available resources, accompanied by prudent and targeted use of funds. This surplus represents not only a sign of good administration, but also an element that significantly contributes to strengthening the Federation's financial solidity".

CYCLING LEAGUE - The suspension of the agreement with the Cycling League was confirmed, with further verification being carried out.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP – An honorary membership was established, a recognition to be awarded to prominent figures or those deserving for their activities in favor of cycling.

ERNESTO COLNAGO COLLECTION - Before the proceedings, council members visited the Ernesto Colnago Collection, during which it was possible to retrace the history of one of cycling's most important brands, intertwined with the country's economic and social history. "Ernesto Colnago – President Dagnoni recalled – is a visionary who built a symbol capable of captivating entire generations and leaving a unique mark on our sport. If Italy continues to be one of the reference countries in the world's imagination for style and quality, it owes this to figures like his".
