Team Vangi Tommasini Il Pirata has reached 13 seasonal victories thanks to Edoardo Agnini from Lucca, who at the finish line in Galciana at the sixth Maurizio Bresci Memorial-Piccola Liegi, beat his two breakaway companions, Bonciani and Colella, in the sprint. Three junior athletes already prominent during the season and certainly among the most anticipated in this race in the Prato area, which continues to be organized with passion and commitment by a group of Friends led by Fabio Dabizzi and Leonardo Giordani and by the sports enthusiasts of Galciana, with the collaboration of local institutions and the valuable support of sponsors. The challenging course saw 130 riders at the start, of which only 33 completed the race that featured three times the climb from Seano to Carmignano and the "Corta" climb from via Granaio to Poggio a Caiano.
The finale was thrilling with the trio on the podium managing to maintain their slim advantage over the pursuers who were pressing harder and harder, and in the sprint Agnini proved to be the strongest, beating Bonciani and Colella, two athletes who continue to achieve placements throughout the season. Bonciani, moreover, was the strongest climber, winning the mountain prize. One week before the Italian Championship in Sora in the province of Frosinone, the three athletes on the podium could be strong contenders in the tricolor race on the roads of Ciociaria.
