Polish rider Dominika Włodarczyk (UAE Team ADQ) claimed victory in the second stage of the Itzulia Women. At the finish line in Amorebieta, after 138 kilometers of racing, the 25-year-old athlete from the Emirati team beat the general classification leader Mischa Bredewold (Team SD Worx – Protime) and fellow Dutch rider Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl – Trek). A strong fifth place finish for Letizia Borghesi (AG Insurance - Soudal Team).

Following her first seasonal victory, Dominika Włodarczyk commented: "I'm back racing after a difficult period. A virus forced me to miss all the Ardennes Classics, races I had prepared very well for, and that made me quite angry. I arrived here without particular objectives and without pressure, with the idea of living the race day by day and understanding how I would react physically. Today I felt very good from the start, despite being involved in a crash. At that point I decided to give it a try. I still find it hard to believe I managed to win. I knew that 6-7 kilometers from the finish there was a climb that could be a good point to attack. Van Anrooij made the move first and I decided to follow her. At that moment I felt I had excellent legs, even though honestly I don't know where they came from after the last few weeks. General classification? I'm not thinking about it. I told myself from the start that I would face this race one day at a time, without really knowing what my condition was. Now I just want to enjoy this beautiful victory, then tomorrow we'll see how it goes".
