XDS Astana has officially announced its roster for the Giro d'Italia, featuring five Italian riders. There's Davide Ballerini, who found success again with a great sprint in Turkey. Speaking of sprints, after many victories in major Asian races, Matteo Malucelli finally has the chance to test himself in a grand tour. Completing the Italian quintet is a trio of stage hunters: Christian Scaroni, in the best moment of his career, alongside veterans Diego Ulissi and Alberto Bettiol. A wealth of experience is also brought by Belgian Arjen Livyns, while the rest of the Kazakh team's foreign contingent is represented by two young South Americans: Uruguayan Thomas Silva, winner of the Tour of Hainan, and Ecuadorian climber Harold Lopez for the GC.
